About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding acceptance and qualification testing requirements for propellant tanks under the NASA GSFC ROMAN Space Telescope Project Propellant Tanks solicitation. The solicitation seeks propellant tanks to be qualified through a sequence of acceptance and qualification tests including preliminary examination, volume proof, bonded bracket pull, differential pressure capability, internal and external leakage, expulsion efficiency, sine vibration, pre- and post-random sine sweep, random vibration, shock, pressure cycle life, mechanical contact resistance, precision cleaning, and burst tests. The document provides additional detail on test requirements and allows verification of specification requirements through methods identified in an attached matrix.

Question and Answer on Request for Proposal (RFP), Solicitation No. 80GSFC20R0060;
Propellant Tanks for the Roman Space Telescope Project
Question: Can you provide a clear definition of the qualification and acceptance testing required for the program?
Answer: The acceptance and qual test list/sequence is below. Additionally, a matrix is attached identifying the allowable methods of verification of each spec requirement. Note these details are already in the narrative language of SOW itself, but the spreadsheet offers a more succinct summary for the potential vendors that removes any ambiguity.
