About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) questionnaire issued by Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast (NAVFAC SE) to gather industry capabilities and interest regarding fire truck repair services. NAVFAC SE is exploring the establishment of a regional indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to consolidate fire truck repair services across eight installations: NAS Key West (Florida), NSA Panama City (Florida), NAS JRB Fort Worth (Texas), NAS Kingsville (Texas), NAS Corpus Christi (Texas), NAS JRB New Orleans (Louisiana), NCBC Gulfport (Mississippi), and NAS Meridian (Mississippi). The government currently manages approximately 65 fire trucks representing five manufacturers—Pierce, Oshkosh, Ford, KME, and E-One—and currently procures repair services through individual purchase orders issued by separate contracting field offices.

The questionnaire requires respondents to provide company identification information, business size status under NAICS Code 811111 (General Automotive Repair, $9.0M size standard), and capability statements addressing centralized service delivery across all installations, mobile service availability with trip charge costs, access to repair facilities near each location, technician familiarity with all five fire apparatus manufacturers, OEM certification capabilities, and relevant EVT certifications (F1-F6 and T1-T7 designations). Additional questions address the company's ability to support concurrent maintenance at multiple locations and, for small businesses, compliance with FAR 52.219-14 self-performance requirements (minimum 50 percent of work must be self-performed). The RFI does not constitute a formal solicitation and no specifications, drawings, or quotes are being requested at this time.
