The project shall include the installation of DX ductless mini-split system and a floor mounted dehumidifier for maintaining proper sterile storage room humidity levels, and sensible temperature levels. Provide a digital humidistat that reads and records humidity and sensible temperature. Provide a backup roof mounted exhaust fan for the dirty side room that is energized from a CT on the existing exhaust system to ensure a constant negative environment on the dirty side, install additional pressure measuring device, or approved equal, that will alarm when room is no longer under the required negative pressure.
Specifically, the work shall include the following items:
A. Provide and install a 9,000 btu/hr ductless mini-split DX heat pump system for the sterile storage room. Mount the ductless mini-split cassette preferably above the doorway if space allows; system to maintain 2°F above existing VAV box set point.
B. Mount the heat pump on a wall with structural wall support, or ground mounted on 4 inch thick concrete equipment pad, 6 feet larger than unit footprint, or roof mounted on pre-manufactured roof curb, 10 feet minimum from roof edge.
C. Route and connect suction and liquid line set from cassette to heat pump, insulate suction line only.
D. Provide and install power to the heat pump and back feed the cassette.
E. Provide and install condensate pumps for the ductless mini split cassette and dehumidifier.
F. Provide and install a floor mounted dehumidifier with a removal capacity of 100 pints of moisture per day at 80°F and 60%RH

M. Provide and install power for new fan, mount fan on pre-manufactured roof curb from fan company. Adhere to all existing roofing manufacturer’s requirements to keep the roof warranty intact, this may require the roof manufacturer to install the roof curb.
N. Fan shall come with backdraft damper and be controlled to energize on signal from the CT wired to the existing exhaust system serving the dirty side room, installed and commissioned by the contractor. When the CT indicates the central exhaust fan serving the dirty side is non-operational, signal will be sent to the backup exhaust fan to energize.
