About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for the procurement of KABA ILCO electronic locks (Solicitation Number N6883624Q0092). The amendment provides responses to questions from industry regarding the solicitation requirements, including the quantity and placement of the locks, disposal of existing locks, shipping and storage of materials, and coordination with the government for site access. The key details include:

The solicitation calls for 4 FDU (Field Display Units) - 2 to be located at the main front desk for check-in/out, and 2 to be mobile units. The KABA EAX 500 Gray Door Mount Alarms are required on 12 emergency exit doors per building, for a total of 24 alarms. Trim plates are required to cover holes from the existing Onity locks, but the current strike plates can be reused. The government will provide metal and paper recycling bins for disposal of the existing locks. Shipment of materials will be received at a central warehouse (UH building N685) on Mondays through Fridays, excluding government holidays, between 0700-1430 hours. The government will provide escorts to open suite/unit entry doors for the installation technicians. No substitutions for the KABA locks are allowed, as the Navy is standardizing on this model across the southeast region.
