About this file
This document is a Standard Form 30 Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract issued by the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest for hard chromium electroplating services on various F18 and E2/C2 landing gear components. The amendment modifies the original solicitation by extending the response due date from January 16, 2026 to January 23, 2026 and adding new contract line items (CLINs) for electroplating services on specific landing gear parts, including pistons, steering collars, rod assemblies, and universal joints for both Nose Landing Gear (NLG) and Main Landing Gear (MLG).
The contract includes detailed specifications for hard chromium electroplating, requiring the contractor to apply the service to eight different part numbers across F18 and E2/C2 aircraft components, with quantities ranging from 4 to 30 units per part number. The period of performance is from January 30, 2026 to August 31, 2026, with the contractor required to provide a one-year commercial warranty. Delivery and inspection will be managed by the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest in San Diego, California, with specific requirements for certificates of conformance, dimensional inspections, and potential rework at the contractor's expense. The amendment also adds FAR clauses allowing the government to extend services and contract term under certain conditions.
