About this file

This is Amendment 0003 to solicitation N6852025Q0005 for Rotary Retract Engine Cable Tensioner Piston Rods, issued by the COMFRC Procurement Group at Patuxent River MD. The amendment revises Section C of the Statement of Work by deleting text in paragraph 6.1 regarding approved plating vendors, and extends the response due date to December 11, 2024 at 4:00 PM EST.

The SOW requires manufacturing 10 new Piston Rods for the Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic Voyage Repair Team at Naval Station Mayport, Jacksonville, FL. Key requirements include dimensional inspections before and after nickel-chromium plating, non-destructive testing by qualified technicians, magnetic particle inspection, penetrant inspection, cadmium plating on non-nickel-chromium plated surfaces, and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and Z540.3 calibration standards. The contractor must provide all QA documentation and readings for each Piston Rod upon delivery and obtain final acceptance through Material Receipt Inspection by the FRCMA VRT Quality Assurance Representative.
