About this file

This file is a Questions and Answers document responding to vendor inquiries regarding the WGQ Technical Benches solicitation (N6833526Q1027). The Government clarified specifications for a corner bench configuration, confirming that two straight benches butted together in an L-shape is acceptable as an alternative to a single integrated unit. If the bench is configured as one whole unit, a left-hand orientation is preferred. The Government directed vendors to Attachment 3 (Lab Layout) for the facility layout and intended placement of the corner bench and other workstations. This Q&A response addresses vendor confusion regarding bench configuration options and references the Government Layout document posted in the solicitation materials for spatial planning purposes.

Text version

In response to questions from interested vendor(s):

Question: I am working on the Updates. Could you please confirm the following details:

1. The orientation of the corner bench (which side should be 90” and which side should be 60”, i.e., left-hand or right-hand configuration)

1. Whether this is intended to be a single integrated corner unit or two straight benches butted together in an L-shape

1. If available, any layout drawing or room plan showing the intended placement

Answer:

For the corner bench, 2 straight benches butted together is acceptable, If the bench is easier to configure as one whole bench, a left- hand would work best. The Government Layout is posted under Attachment 3.
