About this file
This file is a Questions and Answers document issued on March 17, 2026, clarifying requirements for the WGQ Technical Benches solicitation (N6833526Q1027). The government confirmed that the Bill of Materials (BOM) listing of 10 benches is the correct quantity, superseding the original drawing that showed 9 benches; the discrepancy resulted from the drawings being based on early 2025 conceptual floor plans. The government clarified that all 72 x 30 objects referenced in Room 118 are benches that must be quoted, and the facility is already built with Rooms 112 and 104 ready for immediate installation while Room 118 is undergoing floor replacement. The government specified that only ESD counter tops are required (not standard tops), that 30-inch wide tops are needed (clarifying that 18-inch references in the BOM refer to drawers and doors, not counter tops), and that the government does not have an in-house installer, making installation a required component of the contract. The government emphasized the need for delivery as soon as possible rather than waiting the full 365-day Period of Performance.

In response to questions from interested vendor(s):
Question: Do you have an installer?
Answer: No, it is part of the requirement that we are looking for installation.
Question: Are they looking for this to be delivered 365 days from issuance of the PO?
Answer: We want the benches as soon as possible. If this is concerning spaces being available or ready, Rooms: 112 and 104 are ready for installation. Room: 118 is currently in the process of having the floor replaced.
Question: Is this facility built yet?
Answer: Yes.
Question: The drawing shows 9 benches, the stated BOM lists 10. Which is it?
Answer: The BOM list is correct for the numbers, the Government official Drawings are original floor plans from early 2025 when establishing a Cal Lab was just starting.
Question: The third room has two 72 x 30 objects? What are they?
Answer: The 72 X 30 objects are benches, and we do need them quoted.
Question: The part numbers for the workstations included in the drawing are Lyom part numbers. These part numbers include everything you requested on the Bill of Materials (BOM), except for the ESD tops. If I quote it as is, you will receive the standard tops plus the ESD tops. Is this what you want?
Answer: The Part Numbers on the drawings are from when this command wanted to establish a Cal Lab, we only want the ESD counter tops.
Question: The part number calls out 30" Wide cabinets. Not the 18" you called out. Is this acceptable?
Answer: This requirement needs 30” tops, but the Government did not identify 18” tops on the on the BOM that the vendor is referencing. The Government does see 18” W Drawers and Doors for the benches, is this is what the vendor is referring too?
Question: The drawing shows 9 workstations; the BOM states 10. Which is it?
Answer: The BOM list is correct for the numbers, the Government official Drawings are original floor plans from early 2025 when establishing a Cal Lab was just starting.
Question: In Room 118 you show three 72 x 30 objects. What are these? Do I need to worry about quoting these three items?
Answer: The 72 X 30 objects are benches, and we do need them quoted.
