SUMMARY OF CHANGES
SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE
The following have been added by full text:
AMENDMENT 0004
Amendment 0004 1-This amendment hereby extends the solicitation end date from 26 April 2021 to 12 May 2021.
2-The following are questions that were received by this Agency and our answers:
1
For the Ethernet crosstalk and other performance measurements, the specification does not appear to specify the frequency range needed for these measurements. For example, CAT 6 requirements typically specify performance up to 250 MHz, while CAT 5 is only up to 100 MHz.
The DBNT System Performance Spec is intentionally silent on the categories/frequency ranges for Ethernet. Offerors should describe what their systems’ capabilities are.
2
The Ethernet crosstalk check is the only specification which requires a "graphical form" display. Is the requirement for the graphical display to chart crosstalk (dB) vs frequency?
Yes, crosstalk should be displayed graphically in dB versus frequency. Other specification parameters may be displayed in graphical or tabular (alphanumeric) format or both.
3
For both the 1553 and Ethernet requirement, the specification requires pairs of 6' test adapter cables. Can we assume there is no need for a RJ45 or BJ-79C-201 connector directly on the testers, and that the test connectors only need to be at the end of the 6ft adapter cables?
No, that should not be assumed. The connectors for MS-1553 and Ethernet on the DBNT unit, itself, are specified in sections 3.1.1.1.2 and 3.1.2.2.6, respectively, and should be of the female gender. The cables should be male-to-male.
