1. Extend the proposal due date from 20 Aug 2024 @ 1400 EST to 27 Aug 2024 @1400 EST.
2. Provide responses to RFI 0002:
1. One more item I wanted to inquire about for clarification was painting of any raceways/surface mounted EMT. Are those items getting painted over?
Response: EMT and raceways are not to be painted.
2. Will anything in the way be moved by navy ahead of time, for all Buildings jobs.
Response: Government will remove furniture, systems furniture and equipment prior to start of work or during work as in B1320 which will have several mobilizations.
3. I didn't see anywhere on the prints regarding approximately the ceiling heights in the rooms ( Or if any rooms are out of the ordinary size of most of them ).
Response: Most ceiling heights are 10’. There are no exceptionally high or low rooms.
4. What type of shape are most of the room walls in as far as prep work needed. ( I couldn't make it too the walk through )
Response: The walls are generally in good shape. Wall preparation is necessary but minimal but for the exception of B17 lab in B1319, which requires removal of about 2 dozen surface-mounted conduits.
5. Is there any wall covering to be removed on this project.
Response: There are no wall coverings but there are some wall-mounted equipment such as TVs and whiteboards.
6. What is systems furniture, is that like cubies.
Response: Yes, systems furniture refers to the Herman-Miller cubicle partitions.
7. The revised drawings appear to still be scope for B1371, please confirm that as per amendment #2 that all scope in Building 1371 is being removed from the Scope of Work? If not please clarify what has been removed and what still remains.
Response: Revision contained inaccurate wording. B1371 was not descoped in its entirety. The work that remains in B1371 is reflooring the elevators. B1371 R260-R263 secure labs were descoped.
