Question and Answers
1. Question: How many bins?
Answer: Estimated: 30 bins (65gl)
2. Q: Location of material to be shredded? Is it easy access?
A: One location/Building on Base.
3. Q: How labor intensive?
A: Labor will be required to pick up, transport and shred material.
4. Q: Also, it says 24,170 lbs a month but quote says estimated 100 tons a year?
A: Estimate: 145 Tons
5. Q: One other thing is the specifications for NSA destruction material is 1mmx5mm. We have been doing this for quite a while and that is pretty much impossible unless you burn it. If a company says they can do that particle size you might want actual proof.
A: The Government will verify Contractors equipment is on the NSA Evaluated Products list per the SOW. The Government will verify Contractor has the appropriate Facility Clearance.
6. Q: What is the breakdown of poundage (paper & electronic).
A: Estimated breakdown of poundage for paper is 19,336 lbs.
Estimated breakdown of poundage for electronics is 4,834 lbs.
7. Q: Based on the poundage and the information provided, it seems as though the estimates are off a significant amount. A 65-gallon bins holds approximately 220-250 pounds of paper and you listed it will take 30-bins but based on your poundage it will take almost triple that amount for a monthly pickup.
A: Since the Governments estimated number of bins is not considered accurate. Please bid with fair and reasonable business practice to provide the number of bins to accomplish solicitation requirements based on the estimated monthly volume(lbs).
