STATEMENT OF WORK
(SOW)
System Modeling Language Training
1.0 Background
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is expanding its use of model based system engineering (MBSE) and has a requirement to enhance its workforce’s skills and knowledge in System Model Language (SysML) and Unified Profile for Department of Defense Architecture Framework (UPDM)(DoDAF)/ Ministry of Defence Architecture Framework (MODAF) (UPDM). In order to establish the knowledge area capacity at NUWCDIVNPT, we are seeking an instructor led education and training course. At the completion of this course, NUWCDIVNPT will have started to develop a core competency of personnel to be ready to develop SysML models for multiple customers including OPNAV, Program Offices, and the Fleet.
2.0 Scope
The contractor shall provide an offsite facility within 10 miles of NUWCDIVNPT to conduct an instructor lead SysML training class covering basic SYSML diagrams and application of UPDM ontology, and provide the training materials, facilities, and computers to execute the training. The events will be held July 2018 and September 2018. Each event will not exceed 20 people and will be for a period of 32 hours.
3.0 Not Applicable
4.0 Technical Requirements
The contractor shall provide a training course covering basic SYSML diagrams and application of UPDM ontology, provide an offsite location within 10 miles of NUWCDIVNPT equipped to facilitate the training and provide the necessary computer equipment, software and other course materials to teach the SysML course.
4.1 The contractor shall conduct a brief overview of model based system engineering SYSML diagrams and how they are linked together.
The SYSML aspects shall include:
Block structures Behavior with Activities Behavior with interactions Use Cases Parametrics Allocations UPDM and how it relates to SYSML Use of patterns Practical application using a modeling tool, Magic Draw
The training material shall include a brief overview of MBSE, SysML constructs, use of UPDM, and use of patterns. The SysML constructs shall include, at a minimum, diagram elements, package diagrams, requirement diagrams, block structure diagrams, behavior with activities, behavior with interactions, use case diagrams, parametric diagrams, and allocations.
The contractor shall use the Magic Draw/Cameo software tool suite for practical application in this course as indicated in the attached Brand Name Specification, no substitutions allowed
4.1.1 Deliverables: The contractor shall provide the Government an electronic copy of the final training material in accordance with CDRL A001
