Question 2: Lumber Dimensions: Could you please confirm whether you are requesting net 8x8 S4S dimensions, or the standard ALS surfaced size of 7-1/2" x 7-1/2"? We are assuming the standard ALS size is acceptable, but would appreciate confirmation to avoid any misunderstanding.

Answer 2: Standard ALS is acceptable.

Question 3: CAC Treatment: For the required CAC treatment, are you specifying above-ground or in-ground application?

Answer 3: In-ground CAC treatment preferably, as some will be buried.

Question 4: From the way it's written, it appears that the lumber needs to be inspected at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division in Norco, CA, and then delivered to Gila Bend Air Force Base.

Could you please confirm if that understanding is correct?

Answer 4: The lumber will ship directly to the ship to address to Gila Ben Air Force, Gila Bend, AZ 85337 and will be inspected by a NSWC Corona representative in Gila Bend, AZ shipping address.

Question 6: Will the lumber be unloaded and inspected in Norco, CA, then reloaded for delivery to Gila Bend, AZ? Or are drivers expected to wait during inspection before proceeding?

Answer 6: The shipping and inspection will take place at ship to address Gila Ben Air Force, Gila Bend, AZ 85337.

Question 7: Also, I don’t see any mention of unloading in the solicitation. Typically, lumber delivery trucks do not have equipment to load or unload; this is usually done by a forklift at the facility.

Question 8: On your solicitation for 8x8’s going to Gila Bend, AZ for the CAC treatment would you want ground contact .15 or .31 ?

Answer 8: CAC contact level .31
