Solicitation N6426724Q5032 Conference Room Upgrade Question and Answer

Question Section Observation and Question Answer

Table 2 indicates a BluRay player to be used in Room 2E-310. However, the BluRay player is not mentioned in Table 3.

Is a BluRay player required for this room? If so, will the BluRay player be reused, or will it be new equipment.

For the B201 Rooms solicitation, Table 3.

AFSM Load applies only to 201/3E- 010/3W-010 Al Ford conference. Existing Blu Ray DVD players are itinerant among B201 conference rooms and then only occasionally used. Table 1. GFE & CFE Lists does not reference Blu Ray players as reused or new equipment. Table 2.

Source and Destination Devices requires an additional switch port at the podium for a Blu Ray player in 201/2E-310.

Devices Rev 10

With the exception of Room 2E-310, none of the rooms specify usage of a BluRay player; however, during the survey, BluRay players were observed in all the rooms. Is it correct to assume that those rooms will not use a BluRay player?

See the answer provided for Question 1.

Table 3 indicates new power must be installed for Room 3E-310. Also, Table 2 indicates some rooms will receive a second display, such as rooms 2W-480 and 4E-180.

Is it correct to assume that an additional power outlet will be required for additional displays?

Additional power outlets will be needed for new and moved displays. See the answer to Question 4 for a more detailed response.

4 Site Survey During the site survey, it was stated that the power in Room 2W-310 may be “dodgy” behind one display, and that an electrician may be required to evaluate and correct it.

Are there any other rooms where there are questionable power issues?

It should be assumed that all six rooms will require local modification of existing 120 VAC 1 Phase 20 Amp convenience wiring in way of removing existing equipment not to be reused, reinstalling existing equipment to be reused, and installing new equipment. This will involve, non-inclusively, terminating existing wiring at removed and not to be reused equipment locations according to local electrical code and moving and/or extending and terminating existing wiring for the reinstallation of existing equipment and the installation of new equipment according to local electrical code.

Table 1 specifies both a Webex Room USB and an Owl 3 Camera.

What is the purpose/concept of operations for using both of these systems?

Webex Room USB is the default web conferencing device in the rooms where it is specified and is used for traditional single presenter, wide angle view meetings. Meeting Owl 3 is available for use in larger, dynamic, round-table meetings with focus on multiple individual speakers. The selection of a web conferencing device is based on the preference of the meeting host/organizer.

& Site Survey

Table 1 indicates usage of a 20 RU half-rack in Rooms 3E-310 and 3W-

310. However, the rack specified in the survey only accommodates 14

RU.

Is the rack pointed out in the site survey the correct rack or will another rack be provided?

Table 1. GFE & CFE Lists for 201/3E- 010/3W-010 specifies reuse of a 20 RU 19” half-rack. Although we have a mix of 15 and 20 RU half-racks available for reuse as needed, the 19” half-rack available in the room at Site Survey was

15 RU.

7 Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Is a Solicitation/Offer/Award form (e.g. SF 33 or similar) required for the submission? If so, will you be providing a template?

This is utilizing FAR 13 procedures no SF33 is required, just a quote.
