Measurement Science and Engineering Department

Fiber Optic Splitters

1. INTRODUCTION

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona (NSWCCO) Division, Measurement Science Department Precision Machining and Technology (PMT) Facility, Code MS 22, fabricates components and systems in support of Fleet requirements as directed by United States Navy (USN) Program Offices in Washington.

2. BACKGROUND

Measurement Science and Engineering Department, Precision Machining and Technology Facility, Code MS 22, fabricates hardware and components. MS22 uses outside manufacturing entities to synergize the capabilities of the PMT machine and established vendors sources to manufacture all the requisite components and coordinates the assembly, verification, inspection to support our Navy Fleet. Systems and Assemblies often can consist of hardware and components that is vendor manufactured to meet stringent design requirements for proper system performance as wells components that are manufactured in the PMT Facility.

3. SCOPE

Code MS22 has a requirement for the acquisition of Fiber Optic Splitters that will be assembled into Fiber Optic Junctions Boxes. The Fiber Optic Splitters are to be fabricated and tested by the vendor in accordance with drawing 7105556 Rev E.
