About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file for the Navy's Learning Center IT Equipment solicitation. The Q&A addresses two key technical issues: Cisco network switches that are end-of-life (EOL) and GEMMS smart account details. For items 8 and 10, specific Cisco replacement part numbers are recommended (C1300-48T-4G and CBS110-24T-NA respectively), with links to Cisco's EOL announcements. The buyer indicates openness to alternative brands, with equipment size constraints of up to 4U (7 inches high, 17 inches wide, and 20 inches deep) and compatibility with standard equipment racks. The document also provides GEMMS contract details, including contract number 204215489 and a Smart Account for the Department of Navy – Navy.mil.

Questions and Answers.

Questions:

Regarding the Cisco pieces that were requested, they are both EOL. The options are either Non-TAA compliant or much bigger. Which would you prefer that I quote? Or are you open to a different brand solution?

Answer:

For item 8, please ask for replacement item Part Number : C1300-48T-4G . This is per Cisco’s End of Life announcement at the web link below.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/business-350-series-managed-switches/business-350-series-switches-mod-eol.html

For item 10, please ask for replacement item Part Number : CBS110-24T-NA . This is per Cisco’s End of Life announcement at the web link below.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/110-series-unmanaged-switches/eos-eol-notice-c51-2440269.html

We are open to other options that meet our requirements, and can accommodate up to a 4U sized part (7 inches high, 17 inches wide, and 20 inches deep) but no larger, as long as it is able to be mounted in a standard equipment rack. These items also do not need to be Cisco, but I can verify the Part Numbers listed above will work for our requirements.

Question:

Can you provide the GEMMS smart account details?

Answer:

PHD is part of the following GEMSS contract and Smart Account.

GEMSS contract: 204215489

Smart Account: Department of Navy – Navy.mil https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/business-350-series-managed-switches/business-350-series-switches-mod-eol.html https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/business-350-series-managed-switches/business-350-series-switches-mod-eol.html https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/110-series-unmanaged-switches/eos-eol-notice-c51-2440269.html https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/110-series-unmanaged-switches/eos-eol-notice-c51-2440269.html
