About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file for a Navy procurement opportunity related to IT equipment. The document addresses two specific Cisco network switches that are end-of-life (EOL) and provides replacement part numbers. For item 8, the recommended replacement is Part Number C1300-48T-4G, and for item 10, the recommended replacement is Part Number CBS110-24T-NA. The procurement team is open to alternative brands that meet their requirements, with specific dimensional constraints of up to 4U sized parts (7 inches high, 17 inches wide, and 20 inches deep) that can be mounted in a standard equipment rack. The answers include web links to Cisco's End of Life announcements for the original and replacement part numbers, indicating ongoing technical equipment updates for the procurement.

Questions and Answers.

Questions:

Regarding the Cisco pieces that were requested, they are both EOL. The options are either Non-TAA compliant or much bigger. Which would you prefer that I quote? Or are you open to a different brand solution?

Answer:

For item 8, please ask for replacement item Part Number : C1300-48T-4G . This is per Cisco’s End of Life announcement at the web link below.

For item 10, please ask for replacement item Part Number : CBS110-24T-NA . This is per Cisco’s End of Life announcement at the web link below.

We are open to other options that meet our requirements, and can accommodate up to a 4U sized part (7 inches high, 17 inches wide, and 20 inches deep) but no larger, as long as it is able to be mounted in a standard equipment rack. These items also do not need to be Cisco, but I can verify the Part Numbers listed above will work for our requirements.
