About this file
This is a Question & Answer document (ID: 25-SIMACQ-D30-0010) containing two industry questions and government responses for a Department of Navy Naval Sea Systems Command solicitation (N6339425Q0015) regarding motherboard requirements.
The first Q&A clarifies that WiFi-enabled motherboards like the PRIME Z890M-PLUS WIFI are not acceptable for this procurement, though an M.2 slot without a module is permitted as long as the item cannot transmit wirelessly. The second Q&A confirms this is a brand new contract with no incumbent contractor. The solicitation appears to be for motherboard components with specific security requirements prohibiting wireless capabilities.

25-SIMACQ-D30-0010 Question & Answer(s) From Industry
1. “All of our models are with WIFI now, so the suggested replacement is going to be PRIME Z890M-PLUS WIFI” Can you please confirm so we can submit our best pricing for this solicitation?
Unfortunately, due to our requirements, we are unable to accept parts with WiFi. An M.2 slot with no module installed is ok, but the item cannot have the ability to transmit wirelessly.
2. We are performing independent research on the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (N6339425Q0015). We would like to know if this is a brand new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services. If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number? Appreciate any insight you can provide.
Yes, this is a brand new contract.
