QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.

1. If awarded the contract and the company is called to perform and cannot, will another vendor be contacted?

ANSWER: No, this is a requirements contract with a single awardee; therefore, by submitting a proposal the company is stating that it will be able to meet all the requirements of the contract.

2. The RFP mentions Bellingham, Seattle, and Tacoma in the rate tables in the Ordering Section and Submission Package Rate Table, but the Performance Statement of Work only ask for

Bremerton, Port Hadlock, Manchester and Everett. Is it just the 4 or all ports??

ANSWER: It is just the 4 ports. The RFP has been amended (Amendment 0001) to reflect the four (4) ports consisting of Bremerton, Everett, Manchester, and Pt Hadlock.

3. Is there a possibility that all four (4) vessels be utilized at one time?

ANSWER: Yes, all vessels can be used at any given time and all at once.

4. The minimum tug characteristics for Class A and B tugs only mention surface fendering (and not sub-surface). Is it safe to assume that there are no submarine movements for this RFP?

ANSWER: Yes, tugs are only required to have surface fendering.
