STATEMENT OF WORK

PR # N62306 5309-9B17

Time Base Modules and Recalibration of Time Base Modules

1. BACKGROUND: Code N93 of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO) collects ocean ambient noise to support navy-wide Ocean modeling databases. Code N93 uses ambient noise acoustical buoys, Environmental Acoustic Recording System (EARS), in the oceans to collect in-situ data in support of this tasking. The EARS uses a Seacon Incorporated Time Base Module

(TBM) to record accurate time information. Upon recovery of the EARS, the TBMs must be tested and recalibrated to ensure proper functioning before they are reused. This Statement of

Work (SOW) describes the requirements the contractor must meet for delivery and re-calibration of TBMs for NAVO.

2.0 DESCRIPTION

TBM P/N SISMTB-

Base Year 75 200

Option Year 1 75 200

Option Year 2 75 200

Option Year 3 75 200

Option Year 4 75 200

2.1 TBM: The Time Based Modules (TBMs) must meet the following specifications:

a. 125 Hz and 1 Hz output

b. 125 Hz Output Duty Cycle = 0.5 open collector

c. Open Collector 1 Hz output.

d. PLL output frequency range 4-16 MHz.

e. Capable of being synchronized externally

f. Serial communication at 2400, N, 8, 1.

g. Temperature Compensated over 0-30 C.

h. Input Voltage 3.3 VDC

i. Short Term Jitter < 8 usec.

j. Daily drift rate < 4 ms

k. JP2 Connector: TSW-113-05-G-D

l. Manufacturer Part Number SISMTB Version 4.0.

2.2 RECALIBRATION OF TBM: The contractor shall test and recalibrate TBMs as outlined below. Upon task order award, NAVOCEANO shall send TBMs to the contractor for recalibration. NAVO shall be notified of any modules that cannot be sufficiently recalibrated along with a recommendation for dispensation (ie excess or additional rework of module). If additional rework is required, a written cost proposal shall be submitted to the NAVO contracting officer and technical point of contact for evaluation.

3. DOCUMENTATION: Documentation of each time base module (new and recalibrated) delivered to NAVO shall include test data results showing module meets the specifications listed in para (2), specifically the jitter and drift rates over temperature. Data of polynomial regression fitting of the output vs temperature shall be supplied with each timer module.

4. DELIVERY: Delivery of each task order shall be 90 days for new TBMs and 30 days after receipt of module for each recalibration.

5. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance will be Sept. 1, 2016, through

Aug 31, 2017, with the option to extend the period of performance for four consecutive 12 month periods.
