N6227120Q1065 Amplifier - Questions and Answers

1) Any specific brand/model or part number? No

2) How many watts are needed at what impedance? Amp should be capable of driving a transducer with 1kHz impedance of 50-j*100 ohms (50 ohm resistance, -100ohms reactance) to 1000 Vrms maximum output

3) How many channels? One Channel

4) The slew rate is very high for only 60 kHz max frequency. Slew rate under requested is allowable, so long as it does not contribute significantly to the noise/phase distortion of the output at 60 kHz or less.

5) 1000V peak implies 700V RMS. YES

6) Do you need the rack mounts on the unit, or are you replacing one amplifier with another? Rack mounts should be included as an option.

Additional Q and A – Please note that these answers supersede prior specifications.

1) "What is the maximum output current requirement? (We understand you need maximum 1000 V peak, which is 700 V rms. output voltage, but how about the output current requirement?)" Answer: 3kHz, we require a 7 Amp current output.

2) Since we will use internal output transformer to achieve the output voltage you need, one output transformer can only cover a certain frequency range. It can either be from 1K Hz to 10K Hz, or from 10K Hz to 60K Hz, but it cannot be from 1K Hz all the way up to 60K Hz. Please clearly specify the frequency range you want so that we can come up with a plan to handle the frequency range” Answer: As for frequency range, I think it’s safe to assume 1-10kHz for the transducer we are intending this for use with.
