Questions and Answers

SAM Solicitation N61331-26-T-JC03

Quick Disconnect Couplings, QTY of 350 EA.

**** The Q&A Period has ended. These are the final responses to all questions. ****

Question 1: Is there a particular BRAND preference?

Answer: There is no brand preference, it just has to meet the salient characteristics and have a respectable lead time. However, providing the named brand listed in your quote could be helpful.

Question 2: Please provide part numbers and drawings for the 350 Each of Quick Disconnect

Couplings.

Answer: There is no part number or drawing for this fitting, just the salient characteristics that the fitting must have.

Question 3: Is there a preferred lead time?

Answer: The awarded vendor should be able to deliver within a maximum of 15 weeks to meet our lead time. Special emphasis will be placed on delivery time. Showing that you have delivered a fitting with these salient characteristics within the preferred timeframe would be helpful.

Question 4: Can you provide the desired delivery address for QTY 350 Quick Disconnect

Couplings?

Answer: 110 Vernon Ave, Panama City Beach, FL 32407.

Question 5: I’m assuming you are needing the female side quick coupling or do you need a set?

If not, what is the coupling connecting too on the other side? Is there a part number on the other side if there is one that we need to match up too? If the customer needs 350 sets with a locking sleeve, what style of coupling do they prefer flat face style or just a standard ISO-B or ISO-A style.

Answer: We do not need a set, just the female side quick connect. It would be a standard ISO-B style. This fitting will be connected to a male ISO-B male nipple.

Question 6: Can you please provide a response to the question from the manufacturer below?

“I noticed you are only requesting the coupling (female half). Do you have any information on the adapter (male half)? I ask this question because the QD’s we offer are not interchangeable with other manufacturers and if you have the adapter (male half), that will help us in identifying the coupling you need.”

Answer: We just need the female side quick connect. It would be a standard ISO-B style. This fitting will be connected to a male ISO-B male nipple.

Question 7: What body type are you looking for? Flat Face, Poppet? Also, is the body size you are looking for 9/16''?

Answer: These QDs are poppet style. Please refer to the salient characteristics posted to the solicitation for additional details.

Question 8: Is it safe to assume that these couplings are in support of dive equipment?

Answer: Not dive equipment but breathing air charging equipment.

Question 9: If these couplings are associated with diving equipment, could you provide the part number for the end item these correspond to.

Answer: Multiple end items, including Hose Assemblies and Charging Equipment based on systems designed by NSWC PCD.

Question 10: What are the dimensions of the nipple that attaches to the male end.

Answer: This female QD we are requesting will mate to a male ISO-B male nipple.
