About this file

These are site visit notes for a Navy contract opportunity (N6133125R0028) for repairing a test pool at Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division (NSWC-PCD). The site visit occurred on May 19, 2025, with one contractor in attendance, and covered detailed questions about the 12-foot deep, 10-foot diameter in-ground test tank located in Building 528. Key site visit insights include confirmation that large equipment can be brought through the site gate, a laydown area is available for equipment storage, the site gate is not locked, the tank is not pressurized or currently leaking, and the tank experiences temperature ranges from 32 degrees to over 100 degrees.

The attached photos show the circular test pool with water, featuring discoloration and apparent surface deterioration. The solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside for resurfacing/repairing the pool, with a specific requirement to line the pool's inner surface with a carbon/epoxy skin to maximize repair longevity and minimize future maintenance. The solicitation closes on May 29, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. CDT, with the primary objective of restoring the pool's functionality for Navy purposes by addressing the deteriorating and flaking inner surface.
