About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) Inspection Services contract at Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI). The Q&A addresses a potential contractor's inquiry about equipment requiring NRTL field evaluation services. The requirement owner clarified that the contract is intended to cover any NRTL-unlisted equipment as site/customer needs arise, ranging from basic portable 110V devices like printers and clocks to complex installed machinery such as CNC mills, lathes, and electrical test equipment. The requirement is not definitive but is expected to involve a maximum of 7 inspections annually, with the preference that the maximum can be placed on a single task order without a minimum requirement.

Questions and Answers
Q0001 - Do you have a list of equipment that require our NRTL Field Evaluation services?
We’re looking for a list that calls out type of equipment as well as total # of units. Any pictures, brochures, user manuals, data sheets, etc. of the equipment will help speed up our quote as well.
A0001 - (Requirement Owner Response) I know there are a couple items NASNI needs the services for now, but I do not currently have specific information on them other than one is a hose cutting saw. Rather, this contract is intended to be for any NRTL-unlisted equipment as the site/customer needs arise. The equipment can range from basic portable 110V plug-in device (printers, clocks) to complex installed shop production machinery (CNC mills, lathes, electrical test equipment).
The requirement isn’t definite and varies based on customer need, but I expect less than a handful annually so a maximum of 7 inspections per year is likely su icient. For the task order JML, we’d like it if the maximum can be placed on a single task order (bundled) i.e. no minimum needed.
