Existing 24” Valve has a face to face flange measurement = 13”

Actual Mueller A-2361-6 24” valve has a face to face flange measurement = 20”

Paragraph 3.1.1.3

Existing 10” Valve has a face to face flange measurement = 10-1/2”

Actual Mueller A-2361-6 10” valve has a face to face flange measurement = 13”

The work specification also lists all existing flanges to be Class 150, however all Mueller valve flanges are Class 125.

Paragraph 3.1.1

Mueller valve R-2361-6 (OS&Y) has an outside stem and yoke (OS&Y). This design is referred to as a rising stem in paragraph 3.1.1. With an OS&Y valve, as the stem turns, it moves into or out of the valve, which also moves the gate to open or seal the valve.

Paragraph 3.1.1.2 and 3.1.1.3

Contractor to provide valves that meet the dimensions of paragraph 3.1.1.2 and 3.1.1.3 and that meet the performance characteristics of Mueller Valve R-2361-6 OS&Y as stated in paragraph 3.1.1.

Contractor may elect to provide alternative valves that meet the performance characteristics Mueller R-

2361-6 OS&Y. All valves provided shall meet the dimensions of paragraph 3.1.1.2 and 3.1.1.3.

Valve Class

Valves may be either class 125 or class 150 and must be compatible with the dimensions of 3.1.1.1, 3.1.1.2, 3.1.1.3, 3.1.1.4 and 3.1.2.1.
