2.3 WORK

ELEMENT 3 –

Field Data Collection

Can the government provide a map of the area that needs to be surveyed?

The survey area is the entire Tinian Military Lease Area. The boundary is indicated as “JRM leased lands” in Figure 1 of the Performance Work Statement.

2.3.1 Searches Can the government define

“publicly-accessible drivable roads?” Does that exclude all roads on the US military installation?

“Publicly-accessible” means that the Contractor will not pass through gates or fences, or otherwise enter areas that appear to be leased for ranching or other private purposes.

“Drivable” roads are defined as publicly-accessible and passable by a sedan without getting stuck or causing major vehicle scratches such as occur on road stretches where tree branches simultaneously scratch both sides of the vehicle. Nearly all roads on the Tinian Military Lease Area are publicly-accessible.

General Can our personnel get on base unescorted or is a government escort provided?

No escort is provided or needed. Access to the Tinian Military Lease Area is generally free and open to the public. Exceptions are during major training exercises for which dates will be shared with the Contractor.

2.3.1 Searches Is the boat provided by the

government?

No.
