QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS_1, N4019219Q7226 DFAC CHILLERS AND FREEZERS

Question 1) The solicitation states the vendor is to remove and dispose of current units at the DRMO. The units to be replaced would have no use as they would be destroyed upon removal. Would the Government have objections if we had a trash bin at location for disposal of the scrap unit which contractor will be responsible for the disposal?

Answer 1) A trash bin at location for disposal of the scrap unit which contractor will be responsible for the disposal is acceptable.

Question 2) Is the condenser for the indoor freezer/cooler combo on the roof or on the outside of the building?

Answer 2) The condenser is outside of the building.

Question 3) Are you requesting the outdoor cooler and outdoor freezer have any type of weather proofing? Since your units were leaking.

Answer 3) Weather proofed items could be preferred since the outdoor cooler and outdoor freezer are exposed to the weather elements.

Question 4) Is the Government requesting contractors to re-use the doors that are currently on the units? Or are we expected to provide new doors?

Answer 4) The doors that are currently on the units are fairly new, but re-using the doors can be an option.

Question 5) Will the boxes include replacement of the floors?

Answer 5) Yes, the boxes will include replacement of the floors in the units.

Question 6) Do the Freezers have Insulated Floors to maintain the desired temperatures required?

Answer 6) The current freezers may not have insulated floors. See SOW for desired temperature requirements.

Question 7) We would like to do a short site visit to confirm some information.

Answer 7) A follow-up site visit will be held on Tuesday, 3 Sep 19 at 2:00pm. Vendors are requested to notify the Contract Specialist at angelica.hibbert@us.af.mil, no later than 09:00am on Tuesday, 3 Sep 19, if they plan to attend.
