About this file
This is an Amendment of Solicitation (Amendment 0001) issued by the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, NC, Facilities ROICC, with an effective date of September 23, 2026, for solicitation 7584739 related to Project Repair Building Damage B4211.
The amendment extends the proposal due date from September 25, 2026 at 1200 hours to September 25, 2026 at 1630 hours (4:30 PM). The amendment serves to answer pre-proposal inquiries (PPIs) and provide additional clarification on project requirements. The estimated cost range for the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Key scope items include removal and replacement of 25'-3" of masonry wall (full 4'-0" height, both brick and CMU wythes); repair of a steel column with stiffener plates and flashing; and painting of steel plates. The government will not provide lead testing on existing paint, will not relocate material in the work area (the building tenant is responsible), and will not require temporary walls—temporary plastic closures and taping off the work area are acceptable. Specific construction details address masonry specifications (8" x 8" x 16" CMU, Type S mortar, hollow load-bearing units), bonding of new masonry toothed into existing walls, and field measurements for column dimensions. No mortar/grout testing, special inspections, or hazardous material surveys are required. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to proposal submission or risk rejection.
