Amendment 0002 7357830 Rebuild Lift Station BT-11, B9070, Station, B9070

RFI Responses:

1. It appears that the required pump will be a submersible recirculating pump. Is this pump running 24/7 or on & off with floats?

Response: On & off with floats as stated in 1.3.7 any details needed for the float system is pictured in a blue print in the SOW.

2. Can the panel specs/details be provided as well.?

Response: The panel specs are not available from what I’ve researched the CTR will have to perform a site visit to get that information

3. Paragraph 1.3.2 states Jeffery Clayton with Facilities Maintenance will coordinate bypass pumping we assume from the Septic Tank to the Sand Filter. Paragraph 1.3.7 stated that Facilities Maintenance will clean the wet well after all the components are removed. However, in order to remove the components list in Paragraph 1.3.7 The lift station's contents need to be pumped, then the wet well needs to be washed and disinfected prior to performing demo work in the lift station. Will the contractor have to cover any additional cleaning/pumping?

Response: Mr. Clayton said they will handle the bypass pumps, and pump the station as low as they can but the CTR will be responsible for whatever residual is left.

4. Will residuals collected by additional contractor cleaning be required to go back to Cherry Point or could they go back into the Septic Tank?

Response: Residuals can go back into the septic tank.

5. The pipe 90s, pipe risers, tee and base elbows are only available in ductile iron. Stainless steel hardware is available. P401 epoxy lining is available for sewer pipe however the pipe and fitting exteriors will be asphaltic coating as standard with ductile iron pipe. Since no coating specification was noted in the scope of work, will the piping require a special coating?

Response: Ductile iron with the asphalt coating is fine, no further coatings required.

6. Will the discharge pipe that penetrates the lift station wall require replacement?

Response: No

7. If so, the wall of the wet well will need to be demo'ed enough for the replacement then patched. No concrete spec. was given for patching. Can a concrete a specification be provided for additional clarification?

Response: N/A

Amendment 0002 7357830 Rebuild Lift Station BT-11, B9070, Station, B9070

8. Scope of Work, Paragraph 1.4 states a 150-day performance period. However, the Project RFP states 90-day Contract Task Order completion time. We feel that 150 days provide adequate time for submittals, planning, scheduling, coordination and transportation since the work is located at BT-11.

Response: 150 days is allowed

9. Can the range on the overloads that are being used for the pumps be provided?

Response: That will have to be obtained and verified by the CTR with a site visit.
