Form
Currently the compaction grouting would be included in the LS CLIN 0001A. This puts undo risk on the contractor to determine the amount of grout that will be required due to the unknown ground conditions. We request that a unit price item for the compaction grouting be added to the price proposal form.
The compaction grouting is a contractor delegated design and the contractor must use the provided geotechnical information shown on the plans to determine the necessary amount of grout to include in the lump sum bid. Bids must include a 25 percent overage in grout volume based on the planned calculated total grout volume to account for variable ground conditions.
49 CG201 &

On the referenced drawings, the retractable roof appears to be fully encased in stainless steel plates leaving the C15 channel web as the only carbon steel component exposed.
Also note, stainless material is being welded to the carbon steel throughout the assembly.
Given that, is the requirement to galvanize or paint the internal structural carbon steel framing of the retractable roof panel? If galvanized, are there requirements for isolating the stainless steel parts from galvanized surfaces?
Coating/painting required for all carbon steel components after welding to stainless steel has occured.
