CONTINUATION SHEET
1. QUESTION: Can you clarify if Cranes being installed on this contract are pre-purchased or open for solicitation currently?
ANSWER: Open to all.
2. QUESTION: We have been in touch with the Bridge Crane Supplier that is the basis of design in this project.
With the COVID – 19 situation supply chain issues are becoming more critical. See below for RFI information from them:
Are the crane system and hoist required to meet the procurement specifications of the NAVCRANECENINST 11450.1C, NAVCRANECENINST 11450.2A, and NAVFAC P-307?
As to the time frame, the only exception to the 120-day time frame is the hoist. With the pandemic, we are finding that engineered hoists often have lead times of 20 to 24 weeks, and these estimated delivery dates do not include the time required for the approval of engineering and connection diagrams prior to release to production.
If one considers 60 days for engineering, submittals and submittal reviews, 24 weeks for material procurement, 3 weeks for installation (at a minimum) and two weeks for punch list, testing and acceptance it appears 263 days are needed at a minimum. Can consideration be given for 280 days in this contract?
ANSWER: YES, Government will extend contract date: 363 days
3. QUESTION: We do not see any details for any new foundations and / or piers for the columns supporting the runways. Are the existing floors sufficient depth to accommodate the anchor bolts?
ANSWER: See attachments.
4. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
