QUESTION GOVERNMENT RESPONSE

1 SOW 1.1 It states on the description that the service is to be provided at all Marine Corps Bases on Okinwa. Does this include IE-Shima or should we assume only those bases on main Island. Can the list of bases to be serviced be listed in the SOW?

Based on historical data, 99.9% of the service will be performed at Naval Base White Beach for ship support. However, there may be potential service requirements at other bases. Work is expected to be performed at bases within Okinawa main island only.

Annex 1700000 Spec Item 2.6.2 Structural Restrictions

During the site visit, information was provided in regards to White Beach Navy Pier (100 ton crane max) and White Beach Army Pier (35 ton crane max). Spec Item 2.6.2 does not list Army Pier, but instead contains information for Tengan Navy Pier. We would like to confirm whether or not Tengan Navy Pier is included in this contract.

Refer to Annex 0100000, Spec Item 1.1 Outline of Services. Although most of the work is located in White Beach for ship support, there may be potential crane requirements at other locations including Tengan Pier.

Annex 1700000 Spec Item 2.4.3 Ammunition Operations

We would like to confirm that ammunition operations are a part of this contract. (In reference to above question, on whether or not Tengan Pier is included in this contract.)

Currently, CFAO ammunition operations are conducted at White Beach.

Refer to Annex 1700000, Spec Item 2.4.3 Ammunition Operations.

Annex 1700000 Spec Item 4 Non-Recurring Work

How many days advance notice will the government provide for work order notification?

The Govemment will provide as much advance work order notification as possible. Typically, at least 3-4 days advance notification is sent to the contractor. However, ship schedules are constantly changing, and FSC cannot predict what crane support is required. Shorter notification periods are to be expected and changes may be made at the last minute. See Annex 1700000, Spec Item 2.7.1 Cancellation of Work Orders.
