& Renewal UPS System Diagram
As described in the spec., power outage shall be within two (2) hours and one (1) time. However, it is also described in the E-001 DWG that we shall replace feeder line cables from the main breaker panel to battery panels & output panel with new ones under power outage. Considering the cable quantity & size (CVQ325sq, CV150sq) to be replaced, it is technically difficult within the specified 2 hours outage.
Could you change the outage requirement from two (2) hours and one (1) time to eight (8) hours and one (2) times?
No.

If GOV answer is "No", may we reuse the subject feeder cables, and partially extend the cables using straight splicing (CHOKUSEN SETSUZOKU) as necessary?
Yes.
#3 17-May SECTION 02 83
00.00 33 LEAD
REMEDIATION
Could you provide any sampling/analysis reports for existing paint materials? Or, should we assume that all existing paint is LBP, and must perform LBP abatement work?
There is no report.
Panelboards cabinet shall be assumed as Lead Based Paint (LBP).

#4 17-May SECTION 02 83
00.00 33 LEAD
REMEDIATION
There is no description about bulk sampling in the spec.. But when we will transport the hazardous LBP waste to HWSA(Bldg.1822), sampling reports will be required for disposal.
May we consider that we shall perform bulk sampling work in advance before abatement work?
Panelboards cabinet shall be assumed as Lead Based Paint (LBP) and bulk sampling report shall be necessary. So long as the LBP is not disturbed or flaking off then it is acceptable per the JEGS. If there is flaking then it needs to be cleaned up of the peeling or flaking paint chips and those should be turned into HWSA. Once the item is flaking or chipping then I can still have the QRP accept for recycling purposes.
SECTION 00 10 00 - SOLICITATION
