7 27‐Nov‐19 Please extend the due date for inquiries until 10 days after the site visit.

The due date for inquiries remains 29 November.

8 27‐Nov‐19 Please extend the date for bid opening until 14 days after the government provides the responses to inquiries.

The bid opening date remains 13 December. 0002

9 27‐Nov‐19 Would it be possible to consult the contract award date? We would like to have preparation time before receiving the award since 150 days are not enough for both preparation and construction work.

No. Contract award date will be dependent upon Government operational needs.

10 27‐Nov‐19 We would like to request changing the construction duration from 150 days to 270 days. The lead time for personnel DBIDS cards is about 30 days, for flightline access permit and digging permit is about 30 days, for arranging escorts and competent personnel is about 30 days. Also, the work days will be limited due to airfield nighttime operation (5 days/month), adverse weather (4 to 5 days/month), and concrete curing. We are able to work only about 10 days in each month. We need at least 60 work days which means it will take about 6 months (180 days) to complete on‐site work. Therefore, we would like to request extending the construction duration for 60 days.

The Construction period is changed from 150 working days to 150 calendar days.

It is stated on the drawing E‐01 to "provide 3 pipes using jack and bore method under the existing taxiway. The depth of the piping shall be 1200 mm from top of the taxiway edge to top of the new conduit pipes." UTILITY HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING will be used for this work. Our question is that whether the soil stabilization with cement is conducted in the depth of 1200 mm of the taxiway. Usually, taxiways are stabilized with cement. There is no information regarding soil stabilization and foundation strength in the solicitation. Please provide information regarding existing soil so we can select the method for UTILITY HORIZONTAL

DIRECTIONAL DRILLING.

The horizontal drilling does not hit to existing soil cement stabilized base course, because composition of concrete pavement of the taxiway is 380mm thk. Concrete pavement, 200mm thk. Soil cement stabilized base course and 500mm thk. of gravel base course from the ground surface. (Total depth of pavement composition is 1080mm)
