About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity N3904027Q0117, updated October 7, 2026.
The procurement concerns an Ashcroft Model 1279 pressure gauge with specific technical requirements detailed in Attachment 1. The solicitation requires CMMC Level 1 Self certification, and calibration will be performed at PNSY with no third-party calibration required. The Statement of Work (SOW) is being revised to reflect corrections to product specifications, including changing references from HEISE gage specifications to Ashcroft specifications. The revised part number is 451279-S-S-09-L-XSG-XC4-XMF-X6B-XT1-1500#, with the addition of code "XSG" for laminated safety glass and excluding code "XS4" for the slotted link due to accuracy reduction concerns; the connection size specification has been corrected to 9/16-18 UNF-3B. The solicitation will be extended to allow vendors adequate time to quote against the revised SOW (Revision 1). Payment options include both Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) and WAWF. Regarding delivery, the original Required Delivery Date (RDD) of November 13 was based on market research; vendors should provide current lead times on their RFQ responses if this date is not achievable. Approved suppliers are listed as Ashcroft, Andruss-Peskin Corp, MMC Metrology Lab Inc., and D&M Hydraulic.

N3904027Q0117 Q&A Updated 10/7/2026
1. The required CMMC level is blank in the clause on page 11. What level, if any, applies to this supply purchase, and which DFARS 252.204-7012/7019/7020 assessment requirements must be met before award?
A. This requirement is CMMC Self 1
2. For the Attachment 1 accuracy tests, is an OEM calibration certificate acceptable when the calibration source and scope meet H-246-H001, including its accreditation/certification and uncertainty requirements? Please confirm whether separate third-party calibration is required.
A. We calibrate at PNSY, no third party calibration is required.
3. Attachment 1, C.2 refers to HEISE gage specifications, while the required item is Ashcroft 1279.
Which warranty specifications and warranty period apply?
A. The SOW is being redrafted to reflect Ashcroft
4. Could you provide Ashcroft drawing 70A100, or the approved public source for it, and confirm whether any required drawings or documents are missing from the three posted attachments?
A. No drawings were included, but the TC is fully descriptive of what is required. The following sources are listed on the JML:
a. -- ASHCROFT (207) 385-0240
b. -- ANDRUSS-PESKIN CORP (508) 351-6200
c. -- MMC METROLOGY LAB, INC. (800) 288-1662
d. -- D&M HYDRAULIC (800) 671-2420
5. Warranty Specification – Section C.2 refers to “Heise gage specifications,” while the required product is Ashcroft Model 1279. Could you please confirm whether “Heise” is intentional or if this should refer to Ashcroft specifications?
A. This is being updated to refer to Ashcroft specifications
6. CMMC Requirement – The CMMC clause appears to leave the applicable CMMC level unspecified. Could you please confirm which CMMC level applies to this procurement?
A. This requirement is CMMC Level 1 Self
7. Latest Solicitation Version – Could you also please confirm whether any amendments or revisions have been issued that we should consider when preparing our quotation?
A. The solicitation will reflect Revision 1 once the QA form and the revised SOW has been loaded
8. Part number vs. Attachment 1: C.1.5 (laminated safety glass) and C.1.6 (slotted link, sudden decrease) do not appear as options in P/N 45-1279-SS-S-09-L-X6B-XMF-XT1-XC4-1500# (Ashcroft codes XSG and XS4). Ashcroft's data sheet also says a slotted link reduces accuracy to 1%, while C.1.10 requires Grade 2A (0.5%). Should we quote the part number exactly as written, or add XSG/XS4?
A. We want “XSG” added. Since the slotted link reduces accuracy, I would say that we shouldn’t include “XS4”. New P/N: 451279-S-S-09-L-XSG-XC4-XMF-X6B-XT1-1500# This is change will be reflected in the SOW for Rev 1 We are in communication with Ashcroft to find a part that will meet all requirements of the SOW, which will then be updated and solicitation will be extended to allow vendors time to quote the revised SOW
9. C.1.9 calls for a 9/16-18 UNF-3A male O-ring connection per Ashcroft DWG 70A100 / MIL-G-
18997E. Ashcroft's catalog lists code "09" as a 9/16-18 UNF-2B Aminco connection. Please confirm which one governs.
A. The connection size should read 9/16-18 UNF-3B. This is change will be reflected in the SOW for Rev 1 We are in communication with Ashcroft to find a part that will meet all requirements of the SOW, which will then be updated and solicitation will be extended to allow vendors time to quote the revised SOW
10. Please confirm the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) is acceptable for payment on this order.
A. Both GCPC and WAWF are available payment options for this requirement. Please indicate which method you would prefer to receive on the RFQ
11. We cannot guarantee November 13 delivery; please advise whether our proposed schedule is acceptable.
A. the RDD was based off of market research lead times, Please provide current lead times on RFQ if Nov 13 is not realistic.
