About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for solicitation N3904026Q4943, updated on 10/29/2025. The Q&A addresses two specific technical inquiries: first, a vendor asked if Alloy black oxide coating could be substituted for the required phosphate coating, to which the government definitively responded that only phosphate coating will be acceptable. Second, a question was raised about threading specifications, with the response referencing ASME B18.3 and specifying a .36 inch minimum Body Length (unthreaded portion of the shank). The document provides precise technical clarifications to potential bidders, ensuring strict adherence to the original technical requirements.
