If a Contractor has extensive experience in vehicle IDIQ contracts in several locations but not inside Djibouti, does that set the Contractor as Unacceptable technically? | 1. Engine requirement is for a Diesel engine, see minimum requirements in PWS. 2. Any brand of U.S.-made or designated country end products unless the Contracting Officer determines that there are no offers for such products or that the offers for such products are insufficient to fulfill the requirements of the solicitation. 3. 1. Does the USG have a specific preference of BRAND and COLOR? 2. “The Government will consider for award only offers of U.S.-made (or designated country end products …. ) or designated country end products ….Which designated countries? 3. If there are several types of US BRANDS currently available – then the question would be that the USG would prefer use of ONLY AMERICAN MADE, i.e. FORD, GMC, DODGE, etc.. without exception? unless the Contracting Officer determines that there are no offers for such products or that the offers for such products are insufficient to fulfill the requirements of the solicitation.” no offers for such products: Several AMERICAN made vehicles are purchased in the ME through dealerships at higher rates, and due to the geographical area, shipping costs are less, whereas “BUY AMERICAN” is cheaper (better support for our economy), yet shipping is > cos, and TIME consuming; < incentive; < ‘BEST VALUE’ options 4. IF the RFP is a Base + 4 Option Year contract and the contract terms does not allow a vehicle to have or be older than 3 years and/or 50,000 Km older Then the Government will expect that these vehicles will term-out and be replaced with NEWER vehicles both in age and/or usage for the remainder of the contract term? 5. Synthetic OIL vs. Traditional OIL. Synthetic Oils elongates the life of the engine; time between filters, and other maintenance. Ultimately cheaper for the USG as well. Since the vehicles are owned by the contractor, would the USG have a preference? 1. The USG does not have a specific preference of BRAND or COLOR.
2. Designated country means any of the countries in FAR 52.225-5 Trade Agreements.
3. Any brand of U.S.-made or designated country end products unless the Contracting Officer determines that there are no offers for such products or that the offers for such products are insufficient to fulfill the requirements of the solicitation.
