About this file
This is an errata document (Errata No. One) updating specification HIRMC-001-25 for maintenance work on High Pressure Air Compressors (HPACs) aboard a vessel. The work involves maintenance and repairs on No. 1 and No. 2 HPACs manufactured by Dresser-Rand Co. Class AA+ located in the Engine Room Mid Level Forward.
The scope includes installing new suction and discharge valve assemblies across all four stages, replacing/refurbishing the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and housing for No. 2 HPAC, installing new J1, J2, and J3 wire harnesses, overhauling pressure relief valves, cleaning the separator drain system, and flushing the oil lubricator system. The work requires a qualified on-site representative from Curtiss-Wright Fleet Solutions to inspect, maintain and repair the equipment. Known issues include abnormal drip rate indications on HPAC No. 1's lubricator and HPAC No. 2 tripping before reaching operational pressure. The contractor must submit completion reports within 5 days of work completion and all other reports within 30 days. No government furnished materials are provided.
