VENDOR QUESTIONS FOR USNS PECOS WALL TO WALL INVENTORY

1. What are the correct # of Inventory Items (known or estimated) Section 3.1.1 indicates "19,000 Line Items for approx 95,000 eaches...", which is unclear.

· The 19,000 line items, or 95,000 eaches are estimates of the workload. Actual numbers may be 10% over or under.

Section 9 states 10,500 line items.

· Section 9 is in error and should be 19,000 line items.

2. Has the government identified the desired Labor Categories/WD & # of FTE's?

Government seems to cite WD Occupation Code of 01410 - Supply Technician in the WD for a total of FTE's = 2

· Labor categories and numbers of contractor’s personnel would depend on the contractor. Contractor’s personnel must have an MSC, Navy or Coast Guard Logistics background with knowledge of parts research databases such as Logiquest, Navy One Touch and Webflis. A working level competency with the ShipCLIP database is preferred and should be reflected in the Contractors proposal.

3. It states there are 19000 line items and then it states 95000. What is the actual total line items for the proposed inventory? But then on the next page, it states 10,500 line items? Which is the more accurate projection?

· Section 9 is in error and should be 19,000 line items.

4. States 11/20- 1/20. Are we able to schedule it for 11/20-11/27 or can we schedule that with site?

· Once the contract is awarded, MSC is open to adjusting the dates but it would depend on the ships availability which is currently 20 NOV 2024 to 10 JAN 2025. All contract requirements must be complete by 10 JAN 2025.

5. What are the hours of operations for us to take inventory?

· Ships hours of operations are 0730 to 1530 Monday thru Friday. Extended hours and days are dependent on ships crew availability.

6. Area there any clearances required to gain entry? All of our staff are US citizens.

· U.S. Citizens should have no issues with access and will follow the ship, shipyard, and pier or Naval Base procedures.
