THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time.
Military Sealift Command Norfolk has a requirement for the USNS SPEADHEAD (JHSV-1) for Regular Overhaul/Dry-Dock (ROH/DD) availability, on/about 19 October 2015 for 28 days. The place of performance will be a Contractors facility on the East/Gulf Coast.
While the finalized list of work items is still under development, a list of the notional work package items is as follows:
Dry Docking: Anode Replacement, Sea Valve and Sea Chest Inspection, Structural Inspections and Aluminum Weld Repair. Ventilation screen Cleaning. Annual Waterjet Maintenance. Waterjet Impeller Removal and Inspection, Marine Evacuation System Annual Cert, Flight Deck Tie Down Fitting Inspect, Annual Stores Crane Maintenance, Rescue Boat and Davit Annual Inspection, Switchboard Cleaning, SCBA Annual Certification, Galley Duct Cleaning, Firefighting Annual Certification, Laundry Duct Cleaning, Renew NAVIBS/Radio Safety Survey, Annual Stern Ramp Maintenance including hoist rope replacement, weight test. Annual Ride Control System maintenance. Annual HVAC and Refrig System Maint. Annual MSD System Maintenance. Inspect and Repair Under Water Hull Coating.
Please provide a response demonstrating your firm’s experience in performing similar work. This procurement will be solicited under NAICS Code 336611, Ship Building and Repair, which has a size standard of 1,000 employees. Indicate if your company is a large or small business, and if a small business, indicate if you fall within any of the further classifications (Hubzone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.)
