Text version
The secure portion of FBO Where all Critical Information shall reside and only certified vendors are granted access.
This portion of FBO is NOT for classified materials, but rather the vendor is taken to a system interface where their authorization to review controlled documents is electronically vetted through the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS) prior to allowing the vendor access to CI.
Per the International Security Handbook from the Office of the Deputy to the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Support:
· Contractors receiving U.S. Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) must be registered with the Joint Certification Office (JCO) and have completed a DD2345.
· This is separate from ITAR Cert.
· DoD Directive 5230.25 governs the Joint Certification Program (JCP), from which the DD2345 Form is derived.
· SUBCONTRACTORS
The certification process specifically delineates that where a parent/subsidiary relationship exists between two companies and the parent or subsidiary is located in a country other than the U.S. or Canada, such a parent or subsidiary and its employees are not authorized access to any DOD or DND controlled technical data which a certified U.S. or Canadian contractor has obtained under the provisions of the JCP without prior written government approval and export controls compliance.
