Question: LCD Monitor Size Table 1 and Table 2 on Pages 4 and 5 of the Requirements Document refer to 24" LCD monitors for each workstation operator, but REQ24, REQ28, REQ32, REQ36 and REQ41 on Pages 8 and 9 of the same document reference 23" LCD monitors for each workstation area. Please confirm whether 23" or 24" monitors will be used.

Government Response: Table 1 and Table 2 are correct. They should be 24" monitors. The exact monitors that the Government will be using are the ones described in the tables (Dell U2414H). The Government had older NEC monitors that were 23" viewing size but 24" physical size due to a larger bezel. The new ones have a very thin bezel and allow us to use 24" monitors and still fit them on consoles that are bound by the physical requirements.

Question: UPS Device Quantity Table 2 on Page 5 of the Requirements Document refers to 4 UPS devices for each workstation operator for the Seven and Eight-Person Consoles which seems excessive, but REQ19 on Page 7 of the same document references 1 UPS device for every two workstation areas. Please confirm the number of UPS devices required for each Seven and Eight-Person Console.

Government Response:

REQ19 is correct. There should be one UPS for every two workstation operators. For the seven and eight person consoles, there should be 4 total UPS units contained within the equipment enclosure. Table 2 should have had a note describing this as opposed to the number 4 in the Quantity column.

Question: Desktop Mounting Enclosure While we are confident our Desktop Mounting Enclosure for the Compunetix DCU and SDAP devices meets all dimensional and view angle requirements in the Requirements Document and that the monitors can be lowered to within 2" of the desktop without hitting the top of the DCU mounting enclosure, we note that the monitors will partially block the view of the DCU and SDAP devices when in this lowered position given that the DCU mounting enclosure is 5.5" high and positioned behind the monitors. Please confirm that this is acceptable or if the project team has a different expectation.

Government Response:

When lowering the monitors to the lowest required height (2" above the desktop), it is OK to block the view of the DCU. The expectation is that they will normally not be lowered to the point of blocking the DCU. However, if the operator wants them that low, they will have to trade full view of the DCU.

Question: Pricing It is difficult to provide a competitive price for delivery of the consoles without knowing how many would be required for each order. Shipping single consoles is much more expensive than shipping a large order on a dedicated trailer. Can we assume that the quantities required for each PES room (ex. PES A, PES B, PES C, etc.) as indicated on Pages 4, 5 and 6 of the Solicitation would be delivered at the same time? Or can you provide an expectation of how many orders would be placed over the 3 year ordering period?

Government Response: At this time, the Government expects there will be 7-9 PES Rooms ordered during the life of the contract. The Government plans for 1-2 PES Rooms in a single order in FY 16 and as many as six PES rooms ordered in FY 17. For the FY17 consoles, those will be executed in either one large Delivery Order or possible broken into two separate Delivery Orders.
