About this file
This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document addressing clarifications related to a furniture relocation contract at Naval Station Everett.
The solicitation concerns the relocation of furniture and appliances across 18 rooms within a four-story building at Naval Station Everett. Furniture items include Captains Beds, Headboards, Mattresses, Desks, and 4-Drawer Dressers, currently dispersed across all four floors within specified distances from elevators. The contractor must relocate 18 refrigerators (124 lbs each), 18 microwaves, and 36 writing desks (2 per room). The Government will provide shared use of two working elevators with interior cabin dimensions of W-60" x L-81" x H-84" and a 4,000 lb weight capacity. The relocation will occur in a single continuous phase rather than multiple phases. Hardware for headboard reattachment (4 screws) will be provided in a single bag, with the contractor responsible for replacing any missing or damaged hardware. The contractor must place and plug-in appliances, with refrigerators and microwaves kept separate. All waste materials must be hauled off-installation for disposal; on-base dumpsters are not available. A joint condition inspection between the Government and contractor can be requested and accommodated prior to moving furnishings. The contract will be awarded with sufficient time to allow contractor personnel to obtain base-access approval through the BAVR process. The start date is listed on page 9 of the solicitation, with exact dates to be coordinated with the customer post-award. No pre-bid site walkthrough will be hosted for prospective offerors; the PWS has been updated to reflect this change.

Shared use of (2) working elevators.
4.Will the move occur in a single continuous phase or multiple phased iterations?

14.Since BAVR requests must be submitted approximately two weeks in advance, please confirm that the actual performance start date will allow adequate time after award for contractor personnel to receive base-access approval.
The contract will be awarded in time to obtain base access.
15.Period of Performance & Execution Window (PWS 5.0 & 5.1): PWS Section 5.0 states that the start date and period of performance will be determined based on the renovation award schedule. The current start date is listed on page 9 of the solicitation. Exact dates are to be coordinated with the customer after award.
1.Pre-Bid Site Walkthrough (PWS 5.0): PWS Section 5.0 recommends a site survey. Will the
