About this file

This is an Amendment to a federal solicitation (N0024426Q0110) that addresses vendor questions regarding embroidery machine requirements. The amendment, dated 12 September 2026, clarifies the range of materials the machine must accommodate and the required capabilities for the procurement.

The embroidery machine must handle diverse materials including cloth and fabric items (flight suits, uniforms, garment patches), leather and synthetic/faux leather, hook-and-loop (Velcro) backed patches, structured and unstructured hats/caps/covers, and standard embroidered morale/unit patches. The machine must accommodate variable material thickness and density ranging from thin cloth to thicker leather and synthetic materials, and must include cap-frame attachment capability for hat embroidery. The government indicates a preference for a machine configuration offering the broadest material compatibility rather than one optimized for a single material type. Offerors are required to acknowledge receipt of this amendment by the hour and date specified in the document. All other solicitation terms and conditions remain unchanged.

Amendment 0001- Dated 12 September 2026

1. PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT:

The purpose of Amendment 0001 to Solicitation N0024426Q0110 is to address vendor questions.

2. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

QUESTION 1: Could you please provide some additional information regarding the type of materials this machine will primarily be used on?

ANSWER 1: The embroidery machine will need to handle a wide range of materials, including:

• Cloth/fabric items (flight suits, uniforms, garment patches)

• Leather and synthetic/faux leather

• Hook-and-loop (Velcro) backed patches, both applying embroidery to Velcro-backed panels and attaching Velcro to finished patches

• Hats/caps/covers (structured and unstructured — will need cap-frame attachment capability)

• Standard patches for embroidered morale/unit patches

Given this range, we'd want a machine (or head configuration) capable of handling variable material thickness and density — from thin cloth to thicker leather/synthetic leather — along with a cap driver/frame attachment for hat embroidery. If the vendor's options are split by material category, we'd likely need whichever configuration offers the broadest compatibility rather than one optimized for a single material type.

3. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RECEIPT:

Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the hour and date specified in this amendment. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
