1. Page 8 paragraph B of RFP calls for 15hp utility set blower. Are we to use existing or supply new? Also, during job walk the end user talked of reconfiguring the “tempered air”. Basically relocating that duct and/or the existing units to make room for the new exhaust air duct. Is that relocation required?

Answer: Contractor should supply a new fan. Reconfiguration of the ducting is required.

2. Page 8 – Section B. Engineering issue exists – Each booth will have its own fan exhausting 1,917

CFM x 14 booths = 26,838 CFM Total. A 15 HP, backward incline fan cannot produce 26,838

CFM and handle the added external static pressure. Are we to select the appropriate size and type of secondary fan that is to be used and deviate from the scope?

Answer: The fan selected needs to meet the CFM requirement of the system IOT keep it balanced.

3. Page 8 paragraph C of RFP calls for electrical from existing main switch gear to new panel board. Has the electrical availability/sizing been verified?

Answer: Electrical availability is there, sizing will be determined by load requirements of fans and outlets.

4. Clarification needed on Page 8 Section B of the scope – confirm that exhaust fans and lights are tied to individual switches at each booth…..remotes are not needed?

Answer: Fans and lighting for individual booths must be operated by individual switches in each booth, remotes will not be required.

5. There is no mention of what should be done with the existing exhaust fan and Heating air system going back into the building. Can we get clarification on what needs to be done with this equipment?

Answer: Existing heating and exhaust ducting must be re-routed IOT utilize existing exhaust blower and heating unit on exterior of building.
