The statement of work specifies that the contractor must provide all-inclusive labor, supervision, parts, diagnostic equipment, inspections, and shipping for preventative maintenance, calibration, and corrective repairs per original equipment manufacturer specifications. The period of performance consists of a base year (August 15, 2026 through August 14, 2027) and three optional one-year periods. Response time requirements include telephonic or electronic acknowledgment within four business hours and on-site service completion within five business days. The contracting officer is Curtis Cardoza (curtis.e.cardoza.civ@us.navy.mil), and the contracting officer's representative is Brian Ordille (brian.j.ordille.mil@health.mil).

USNS Comfort T-AH 20 requires calibration services for its 90 Biomedical Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) to maintain operational readiness and ensure patient safety. Without these services, the equipment will not be certified, resulting in a break in service and a failure to meet healthcare standards.
Furthermore, medical equipment that does not have a concurrent service history is deemed unsafe, not recommended for patient use and will affect mission readiness plus operational capabilities.
