FOR
Environmental Node Instrumentation for Acoustic data Collection (ENIAC)
17 March 2026
1.1 Description of Requirement
The Environmental Node Instrumentation for Acoustic data Collection (ENIAC) has reached End-of-Life (EOL). Procurement of the new ENIAC systems is required to provide the necessary capabilities for underwater data collection. The ENIAC system consists of hydrophone recorders, sensors, buoys, transponders, and dedicated laptops used by the Acoustics Department at The Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO). This request is for the procurement of one (1) complete ENIAC system to gather critical environmental data.
Failure to approve this request will result in a degraded capability to collect and process underwater acoustic data, which is essential for developing products that support fleet operations within acceptable timelines. Affected areas would include Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW).
1.2 Delivery Date: Contractor shall deliver the hardware within 9-months of contract award.
