About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document from a federal contract procurement related to lighting fixture replacement and installation services.

The project involves replacing 2x4 drop-in ceiling lights with uniform standard lighting fixtures within a federal building. The contractor is responsible for removing existing lights, installing four corner support wires where they do not exist, and converting all lights to a standardized appearance. The building operates on standard work hours of 0700-1600. The contractor must dispose of existing bulbs off the federal installation, as the government does not provide an on-site recycling program. The initial Period of Performance is scheduled from 06 JUL 2026 through 02 NOV 2026; however, this timeline can be adjusted and Non-Cumulative Time Extensions (NCTE) can be granted to accommodate material availability and lead time constraints for the light quantity required.
