Questions (002) to Project Management Training RFQ

1. As stated, the training appears to be skill and performance-based, not preparation for PMP. Can you confirm? This program is not intended to be PMP test prep.

1. How many people in total require all the training? If there are variations, then break them down by roles and likely courses. There would be 20 students per class.

1. How many students per classroom? We generally do not recommend more than 25 participants per class. There would be 20 students per class.

1. How many training sessions? There should be no more than 8 classes held once monthly for the 12 month program of project management courses.

1. On readiness application process support, can you provide the specific requirements? The reference to logistics and readiness applications in the RFP is about IT applications developed in support of warfighter readiness. This is a statement that this training supports our project managers who manage such applications. It is not a requirement of this training program.

1. Is the bid submission based on a single lump cost, cost per course, or course per individual? The cost estimate should cover completion of the 12 month program with one option to repeat the program.

1. Even though we are a PMI Authorized Training Provider, and we can issue generic certificates (and PDUs), only accredited universities can credibly issue Master’s Certificate in Project Management with a Concentration in IT Project Management. Is this an essential requirement? Yes. We expect students who complete the entire program to be issued a Master’s Certificate.

1. Based on the RFP, there needs to be an upfront course design phase to better fulfill the requirements. Should this be a separate statement of work or inclusive? This should be inclusive as there will not be a separate contract solely for course design.

1. The RFP states 8 courses. Aside from the topics below and the 10 knowledge areas in PMBOK, are there interests in covering governance, conflict, life cycle delivery, project performance, and metrics, agile approach/methods (and which one), introduction to program management, portfolio management, and PMO: Topics in addition to those stated in the RFP may be covered during the program.
