LINUX CLUSTER

STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

1.0 BACKGROUND

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has a requirement for a High Performance Computing Cluster for performing physics-based computation. This system will be an add-on to an existing distributed memory Linux cluster, tailored to meet the requirements for highly parallel numerical computations of large problems with computational fluid dynamics, finite element and hydrocode software. System installation, configuration, and demonstration are part of this effort. This Statement of Work defines the system installation, configuration, training, and demonstration portions of the Linux

Cluster procurement.

2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

2.1 Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Specifications;

2.2 Linux Cluster – Technical Requirements List (attached)

3.0 REQUIREMENTS

3.1 System Installation, Integration, & Configuration: The

contractor shall install and integrate the new hardware with the existing machine, and perform any needed configuration updates including software licenses, on-site at NSWCDD (including all required software listed in “Linux Cluster - Technical

Requirements List” document (attached)).

3.2 System Demonstration: The contractor shall execute the HPC

Challenge Benchmark Tests on the system including a multi-hour

HPL execution using every compute core.

4.0 TRAVEL

The contractor will be required to travel in performance of this contract. The number of trips and types of personnel traveling shall be limited to the minimum required to accomplish work requirements and shall be coordinated with the technical point of contact. All travel shall be conducted in accordance with the FAR 31.205-46, “Travel Costs”, and the Federal Travel

Regulations (FTR). The following travel is anticipated: Two

(2) personnel to Dahlgren, VA for five (5) days.

5.0 DATA DELIVERABLES

5.1 The contractor shall provide all hardware and software

operating documentation (CDRL A001);

5.2 The contractor shall provide benchmark test results (CDRL

A002).
